196+ forum Munich is an established hospitality event in conjunction with the EXPO REAL and is held at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. The essential parts of the event are:

196+ forum Munich 2023
With more than 25 international speakers on stage and around 50 exhibitors, 196+ forum Munich welcomed 300 participants from all around Europe to exchange industry knowledge and to share innovative technologies, upcoming trends and challenges of the hospitality and real estate industry.
The various conference sessions with valuable takeaways featured a keynote and panel discussions on different aspects of Artificial Intelligence, project showcases including the Rosewood Munich and The Porter Leipzig and a CEO-interview with Arno Schwalie, CEO Lindner Hotels, and Peter Norman, SVP Hyatt International.
The conference programme closed with the Hospitality Upgrade Award 2023 given to korbsauna®, the winner of the start-up pitch.
The Hotel Property Award 2023 was presented at the Gala Dinner to Falkensteiner Hotel Montafon. Congratulations also to the finalists Goldene Rose Dinkelsbuehl and Scandic Munich Macherei.

Highlight: The Hotel Property Award 2024
Established in 2002, the Hotel Property Award is considered one of the most prestigious annual European hospitality real estate awards.
An independent jury nominates up to ten hotels and shortlists three finalists, which are presented at the 196+ forum Munich. The Award targets hotels that were completed and opened in Europe within the last 18 months no matter whether it is a luxury or a budget hotel, a chain hotel or privately managed, short or long stay, city hotel or holiday resort.
The Hotel Property Award 2024 ceremony takes place during the Gala Dinner of 196+ forum Munich.
Hospitality UPGRADE Award 2024
196+ forum Munich and Hospitality Pioneers are supporting young innovative start-ups from all over Europe in partnership with an industry partner.
The award appeals to innovative start-ups making a relevant contribution to current and future challenges of the hospitality industry, along the whole value chain from hotel development to hotel operations.
An advisory board selects up to five finalists from among all applicants to pitch against each other at 196+ forum Munich. The Award is presented at the end of the Conference day.
