Voice of jury member Mary Noonan on the ten nominees:

Mary Noonan, Director, Design and Projects Europe at Adina Hotels:

"Among the nominees, the number of hotels outside the A-locations with a high design standard and new concepts is impressive, some of them focus particularly on families. Overall, there are many great leisure hotels, which reflects the current development focus. The jury also found the creative conversions and far-reaching revitalizations very exciting. The new buildings among the applicants scored particularly well with innovative energy concepts."

Stefan Hoske, Senior Consultant Architecure & Design at AXOR:

"The selection of the top 10 shows that the characteristics of hotel experience, attention to detail, comfort and storytelling are extremely important. Elaborate renovations and restorations or repurposing of old buildings reflect a trend among the nominees. New buildings cleverly integrate into their surroundings and enhance them, or deliberately showcase their architecture to stand out from the neighbourhood."
